Default WHat are the chances, Anet?

Random arenas:

It takes one minute to fix this problem. Is that minute being spent on more important things, like

  • Improved the description of the monster skill "Enraged" so that it more accurately reflects the skill's behavior.
Those are only some of the useless, unneeded updates from the last 24 days. I realize Anet is a PvE company who made a PvP game (???), but can you spend 1 minute of your time to fix the most exploited pvp function ever discovered (since vod gate locking)? I would say thanks, but you're not gonna do it anyway.

P.S. This belongs in the pvp forum, but anet doesnt read the pvp forums and I feel this needs Anet's very fragile attention.

Chances? 100%

If you get 3 players in Team Arena and start a game, you get matched to Random Arena

It's pretty easy to do that in International district where *the number of players is relatively low*

No, if a team of 3 people in TA enters, they get matched in Team Arenas with 1 person from random arenas. Go learn what pvp is before looking like a dumbass.

Which is exactly my point.

Exploit. Exploits are not bugs (sometimes). I did not mention any "bug." Please learn how to read.

To reiterate, this is not a "bug" report. If it was, I wouldn't post it here. This is an "exploit." An "exploit" which is not caused by a "bug."

And all this time i have been lead to believe that GW was a PvP game with the PvE slapped on being the red headed stepchild of the PvP focused game that so many have been preaching thus far.

As for the problem highlighted in the pic, was this RA at peak traffic hour or at the wee hours of the night for the US? Even for different timezones across different region servers, there should be a small window of minimium population size playing the game which at this time, the SS can happen. Unless of course this is a bug that is explioted then please email support and report this.

Edit: Not forgetting that if this was taken recently with the introduction of the wintersday snow ball arena, RA player size may decrease as more players are diluted to other areas of the game. Should a large guild choose to use this period to mass join RA, there will be a higher chance for them to end up in the same team or co-ordinating joining up by time checking over TS or vent which to my knowledge is nothing new or can be prevented unless the codes scripted for RA teams takes guild/alliance tags into consideration.

I was under that impression as well. Since the start, they were harping on the pvp side of things.

As for getting Anet's attention, no wonder which forum you post to, you can't guarantee that someone from Anet will take notice. Did you try to make a report first? Also, you might want to offer up some solutions, just in case they "fix" it with something you don't like...

Don't play in international districts then....The odds are way better that you won't go against a team like that.

So, all those updates are useless and the luck of three guildmates is "the most exploited pvp function ever discovered" ? It's random arenas. Saying this is more important than any of the update / bug fixes / improvements ANet has been making just makes you sound silly.

Learn what join spiking is? I assume that that's what shard's talking about.

But if I play at home districts, I get paired up with 3 idiots and lose 90% of the time.

Yes, cheating should be higher priority on the "fix it list" than adding an NPC that sends people to a town they could go to with "m" and 2 mouse clicks. Cheating should also be higher priority than letting players put dye on items that don't dye well.

Those three guildmates happened to be running builds that would have sucked individually, but just by stroke of luck they got on a team with each other and *gasp* what were the chances their builds would have synergy?

Than don't do RA (the worst PvP out there).

RA is a joke and meant for people to try out random PvP builds before moving them to something more serious such as TA, HA or GvG.

If you're complaining about RA than something isn't right with you.

It's not even worthwhile to join spike in RA since all you get is a worthless gladiator title and balthazar faction.

Anet reads the PVP forums, why do you think they nerfed Heroes out of HA. It was because masses of people whined about it in the PVP forums.

This RA exploit is very, very old. Surely Anet is well-aware of it and has been for months.

This is flamebait if I've ever seen it. If you've found an exploit, by all means point it out. Flaming Anet and/or PvE is antagonistic will only get your thread closed.

The OP had a valid point, HOWEVER, he stated it like a 11 year old boy whining for more candy. Seriously man, don't be bashing/flaming on everything in the game because of your one instance of fustration. Is it common? Fine, but pointing out an exploit and getting feedback from the community in an OBJECTIVE and mature manner would attract Anet MUCH more-so then a flame-lined rage that sounds like a 11 year old temper tantrum. Sorry plain honest truth.

As most already said, you have totally setup yourself to be flamed. You provided very little detail on teh problem, and instead just ranted about Anet doing free services for our benefit. Try being grateful to Anet, where you should have provided this thread as a constructive exploit highlight/warning, but you didn't.

We will prolly see this thread fill full of pointless arguments and flamewars, thread will close soon.

cheers.

Hmmm...so if you get on a team with 3 guildmates and the group doesn't suck, it's ok? It's just when they're opposite you that it's cheating. (That's the only logical thing I can think of that would make an ID RA team better than a RA team from your home district, because otherwise, they are random.)
